TORONTO (CelebrityAccess) — The International Indigenous Music Summit revealed the official artist showcase lineup for 2024 ahead of the event, which takes place from June 10-14 at participating venues across Toronto.
For 2024, the list of announced performers includes Logan Staats, Sechile Sedare, a collaboration between songwriter siblings Jay and Leela Gilda, and CCMA winner Kyle McKearney. Other artists announced for the 2024 showcase include cellist and composer Cris Derksen, and author and bandleader Alan Syliboy & The Thundermakers.
Continuing its tradition of providing a crucial platform for new and emerging artists, the showcase lineup for 2024 also includes SOCAN Young Canadian Songwriter Award recipient Siibii, Six Nations’ Layla Staats, new Manitoba three-piece indie band Tinge and pop/R&B artist Semiah.
International artists participating this year include Sámi activist, actor, and hip-hop artist Maxida Märak, DJ Soju Gang, along with New Zealand’s Jordyn with a Why.
Artists returning this year include Miesha and the Spanks, Adrian Sutherland, Mamarudegyal MTHC, and Celeigh Cardinal, who performed at the inaugural IIMS in New Orleans in 2019.
The 2024 edition of the IIMS Summit will take place from June 10-14 in Toronto. Participating venues include TD Music Hall, Revival, Lula Lounge, The Rivoli, The Royal Conservatory, and 80A The Academy at Universal Music Canada.
