NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — New York’s Brooklyn Bowl will host an all-star All Star Benefit for Bad Brains frontman Paul “HR” Hudson, to raise money to help fight SUNCT syndrome.
Hudson has suffered from SUNCT syndrome, which the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke defines as a rare form of recurring headaches that are marked by moderate to severe burning, piercing, or throbbing pain, usually on one side of the head and around the eye or temple, since 2014.
His battle with the disorder has forced Hudson to cancel tours and endure waves of intense pain, creating a need for financial support.
For the benefit show, event producers Kentyah Fraser and Norwood Fisher have assembled a lineup that includes Bad Brains, Fishbone, Living Colour (collectively dubbed Living Fish Brains)—and a special soundsystem sets by Subatomic Sound System ft Screechy plus legendary NY DJ, visual artist and educator Paul D. Miller aka DJ Spooky. Additional special guests for the show, which is set for April 28th, will be announced in the coming weeks.
