WASHINGTON D.C. (CelebrityAccess) — The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC) announced six new appointments to its advisory committees, including three new members of the Dispute Resolution Committee, one appointment to the Operations Advisory Committee and two appointments to the Unclaimed Royalties Oversight Committee.
The new appointments to the Dispute Resolution Committee include Songwriter, David “DQ” Quiñones, Spirit Music Group Industry Relations Advisor Consuelo Sayago, and Matthew Skiba, Vice President, Rights and Content at Vydia.
The Dispute Resolution Committee is comprised of five songwriters and five representatives of music publishers and makes recommendations to the board on policies and procedures for the processing of royalties related to works that are subject to disputes over ownership.
The MLC also announced te appointment of Songwriter, “Bruce” Waynne Nugent, and Dale Esworthy, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Administration at Sony Music Publishing, to the Unclaimed Royalties Oversight Committee. The committee is responsible for recommending policies and procedures related to the distribution of unclaimed royalties.
Additionally, the MLC announced the appointment of Lidia Kim, Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs at Concord Music Publishing, to the Operations Advisory Committee. The Operations Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the MLC’s Board on policies and procedures related to the operations of the Collective, including the use of new technology and data resources.
The board appointments are all for three year terms.
