NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — The Academy of Country Music announced a round of new hires across multiple divisions at the organization, including Ben Carter, who was named Vice President, Live Events & Production.
In his new role, Carter will oversee the planning and execution of the ACM’s live events, including the flagship Academy of Country Music Awards and ACM Honors. In his new post, he will report to Gil Beverly, Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer.
A veteran of the live events industry, Carter brings experience in television award shows to his new role at the ACMs. His resume includes a tenure as Senior Director of Event Production for the Television Academy (Emmys) as well as past roles at LA Area Emmys, College Television Awards, Emmys Nominations Announcement, and Television Academy Hall of Fame, in addition to oversight of all logistics associated with and supporting the Emmy Awards ceremonies.
The ACM also announced the appointment of Matt Brum-Taylor as Director, Digital Marketing. A Rhode Island transplant to Nashville, Brum-Taylor began his career in marketing at iHeartRadio Nashville before transitioning into a social media marketing role at the Grand Ole Opry. Most recently, Brum-Taylor spent the majority of the last decade as Digital Marketing Director at Big Machine Label Group.
The new hires also include Lexi Cothran, who joins the Academy as Senior Manager, Communications & Strategic Initiatives, and Kendra Williams, who joins the organization as Coordinator, Finance.
Brooke Boyd was named Assistant at ACM Lifting Lives while Heather Howard joins the Academy as Assistant, Marketing.
