MARSHFIELD (CelebrityAccess) – Levitate, the homegrown creative force from New England, has just unveiled the exciting lineup for the upcoming 11th annual Levitate Music & Arts Festival, set to take place at the Marshfield Fairgrounds on July 5 – 7. A standout feature of this year’s festival is the rare and special appearance of the newly reunited Sublime, featuring original members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson, with Jakob Nowell stepping in as the frontman.
The buzz surrounding Sublime’s reunion was confirmed after Levitate organizers received an inside tip, prompting quick action to secure their first and only live Northeast performance at the festival. Wilson, Sublime’s bassist, expressed his excitement about the reunion, stating, “This is great because I haven’t had the opportunity to play with Gaugh in over a decade, and to have Brad’s son playing our music is the closest thing possible to playing with my old buddy Brad.”
The festival’s diverse lineup doesn’t stop there, featuring powerhouse female-fronted acts Lake Street Dive and Tash Sultana on Saturday, indie rockers Mt. Joy on Friday, and a dynamic roster including favorites Dirty Heads, hometown heroes The Elovaters, viral sensations Oliver Anthony, Richy Mitch and the Coal Miners, and the virtuosic prowess of Grace Bowers and Cory Wong. Adding to the eclectic mix is the authentic Americana sound of Charley Crockett.
Levitate Music & Arts Festival, which started as a surf shop’s 10th-anniversary party, has blossomed into the East Coast’s premier boutique music and arts festival. True to its local roots, the festival blends national touring acts with up-and-coming local talent, creating an eclectic weekend that celebrates the cultural and creative essence of the region.
Dan Hassett, owner of Levitate, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We love that Levitate can celebrate this community through the uplifting power of creativity. It’s incredible to see what has grown from local roots, and we’re excited to see this year’s event come to life with unique curation based on our fan’s recommendations and very special headliners we’re grateful to work with.”
Beyond the music, Levitate promises an eco-driven and family-friendly experience featuring artisan vendors, local food trucks, live art installations, and kids’ activities. The festival’s commitment to the community extends to its philanthropic efforts, with one percent of each ticket sold contributing to the Levitate Foundation. This non-profit aims to cultivate vibrant communities by creating and conserving access to music, art, and the outdoors.
Tickets for the Levitate Music & Arts Festival go on sale Thursday, February 15, at noon ET. For more information, visit www.levitatemusicfestival.com. Get ready for a weekend filled with creativity, community, and the power of music.
