VERNON, KY (CelebrityAccess) — Up-and-coming country star Alex Miller and members of his band were involved in a fatal traffic accident when a car crashed into his tour bus in rural Kentucky.
According to a statement from Miller’s publicist, no one in the tour bus was injured in the accident, but the driver of the second vehicle was killed.
“While traveling back from a vacation, country recording star Alex Miller and several members of his band were on a bus that was hit by a car. Sadly, the driver of the car is deceased,” the statement reads
Kentucky State Police identified the deceased man as 53-year-old James M. Mcpheron of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.
According to the State Police, Mcpheron was traveling westbound on South Wildness Road in Rockcastle County when he lost control of his vehicle and swerved in front of the tour bus.
State police are continuing to investigate the accident at this time.
Miller was a contestant on American Idol in 2019 and released his debut album Miller Time which included the singles “I’m Over You, So Get Over Me,” “Don’t Let The Barn Door Hit Ya.”
