PARIS, France (CelebrityAccess) — Warner Music’s regional publishing division, Warner Chappell Music France, announced that it has signed a publishing administration deal with Lofi Records, the label and music publishing venture supporting the YouTube channel Lofi Girl.
Launched in 2017, Lofi girl has gained a reputation for its 24/7 livestream of lofi hip-hop radio, designed as music for relaxation and background for other activities, such as study sessions.
Since its launch, the channel has accumulated more than 13 million subscribers and regularly boasts between 30,000-60,000 concurrent listeners, making it one of the world’s biggest live streams. The channel has also given birth to the now iconic ‘lofi girl’ who has become a popular cultural figure.
Under the new deal, Warner Chappell Music France will administrate the majority of Lofi Records’ artists and will look for sync opportunities that will help reach new audiences all around the world.
