DUBAI, UAE (CelebrityAccess) – Universal Music Group and DGMC, the UAE-based music organization that advocates for UAE and regional music creatives, announced the launch of a strategic partnership to develop the infrastructure to support a music culture in Dubai.
The planned development, called ‘Music City’ will serve as a regional hub, supporting both local and international recording artists and songwriters.
The campus will include cutting-edge recording studios, the development of educational academies, and the creation of a new full-service label designed to support local and regional artists across every aspect of their career, including recording, touring, branding and merchandising.
The studios, which will be the first branded Capitol Studios outside of the historic Capitol Tower in Hollywood, will feature a Dolby Atmos mixing room, recording studios, a “green room”, a writer’s room and a rehearsal studio.
The studios will host a range of music experiences for fans and a related label will be a joint venture between UMG and DGMC, signing and developing local artists.
As part of the joint venture, UMG will leverage the global reach of its artist development, marketing, and promotion capabilities to support Dubai’s music community.
