Originally from Virginia, McDonald embarked on her musical journey due to her drive and passion for storytelling and songcraft. In 2017, she took a significant step towards her aspirations, relocating to Nashville to delve deeper into her musical pursuits and studying songwriting at Belmont University. Since then, McDonald has made a notable impact on the Nashville music scene, enthralling audiences with her performances on Lower Broadway, touring, and independently releasing music.
Her previous single, “Break A Cowboy,” gained recognition on editorial playlists and showcased McDonald’s ability to captivate listeners with her authentic country sound and emotive lyrics. Beyond her solo endeavors, McDonald actively collaborates with fellow artists, earning co-writing credits and cuts with major label acts like Mackenzie Carpenter and Mae Estes.
In conjunction with her signing to Major Bob Music, McDonald also unveiled her latest single, “Hummingbird,” on Friday (February 2), further solidifying her presence in the country music landscape.
