LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper and producer Killer Mike had a big night at the Grammys on Sunday, winning three awards during the preshow and being led out of Crypto.com Arena in handcuffs for his alleged involvement in a physical altercation during the event.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed his arrest in a social media post, stating that the suspect, identified as 48-year-old Michael Render was booked for Misdemeanor Battery before being released.
Details about the alleged incident are scarce but TMZ reported that Mike was arrested following an alleged physical confrontation with a security guard.
Killer Mike claimed three of the four rap categories he was nominated for, claiming awards for best rap song and best rap performance for “Scientist & Engineers,” and best rap album for Michael.
A rep for Killer Mike was not available for comment on his arrest.
