LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Warner Chappell Music (WCM) has recently inked an exclusive publishing deal with the acclaimed R&B singer/songwriter Coco Jones. The artist gained recognition for her highly praised EP, What I Didn’t Tell You, which earned her five Grammy nominations at the 66th Annual Awards, including the prestigious Best New Artist category. Her platinum-selling single, “ICU,” marked her first entry into the Billboard Hot 100. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Jones became one of the standout acts of 2023, achieving significant success with her album and embarking on her inaugural headlining tour, which saw sold-out shows in 16 major cities across the United States.

Jones expressed her excitement about the collaboration with WCM, saying, “Music has been a constant in my life and the motivation that has anchored me since the beginning. Discovering a team at Warner Chappell that shares that same passion and understands my voice and vision is very special to me.”

Xavier Champagne, Senior Director, Urban A&R at WCM, commended Jones, describing her as a natural superstar with a unique talent for songwriting that profoundly resonates with her fans. Jones is recognized as a significant force in the R&B genre, with five Grammy nominations.

Jones, born in South Carolina and raised in Lebanon, Tennessee, initiated her music journey at nine. Her career gained momentum with appearances in the Disney Channel film Let It Shine (2012) and the sitcom Good Luck Charlie. Over the years, she released independent music, including tracks like “Depressed” and “Just My Luck.” 2019, Jones dropped the EP HDWY, followed by Hollyweird in 2020. In 2022, she signed with High Standardz/Def Jam Recordings, releasing the EP What I Didn’t Tell You, earning Grammy nominations and winning Best New Artist at the BET and Soul Train Music Awards, along with the NAACP Image Awards Outstanding New Artist. Jones has collaborated with renowned figures in the R&B genre, showcasing her versatility and contributing to the genre’s ongoing evolution.
