HAMBURG (CelebrityAccess) – German promoter A.S.S. Concerts & Promotion (A.S.S.) has welcomed Berlin-based agent Luca Selbmann, founder of boutique agency Pigalle, to its team. Selbmann will take on the Booking and A&R agent role, contributing his expertise in domestic and international markets. Adding Pigalle’s roster, featuring artists like Traumatin, Urbannino, and Gast, will enhance the A.S.S. lineup.
Traumatin, a 21-year-old artist, has made a mark in the German post-punk and synth-pop scene since 2022. His music blends synthesizer nostalgia, emo-esque screaming, and soulful melodies.
Urbannino creates contemporary music that traverses indie, post-punk, and pop, leaving behind a happy, sweaty, and dancing audience wherever he performs. His songs touch on love, intoxication, excess, anger, and life themes.
GAST, comprised of Tim and Linus, weaves arrangements with analog new wave sounds, choral sounds, and German lyrics. Their music is a fusion of diverse elements, creating a unique sonic experience.
“I am very pleased that Luca Selbmann has joined our team and is, therefore, one of the new and younger bookers in the house,” says Managing Director (MD) Florian’ Böde’ Böhlendorf. “We are at the beginning of a transformation process that is very important to us and will continue. This also includes rejuvenating the roster.”
A.S.S. Concerts, part of the Mehr-BB Entertainment Company, has been a prominent booking agency and tour promoter since 1979, presenting up to 1,200 concerts annually across various genres. The company operates in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Benelux region, representing artists throughout Europe. The addition of Selbmann aligns with A.S.S.’s efforts to rejuvenate its roster and stay at the forefront of the industry with a roster that boasts The Stranglers, Wishbone Ash, Bob Geldof, Crash Test Dummies, and more.
In 2018, A.S.S. Concerts expanded its reach by establishing an office in Dusseldorf. This office, situated at the headquarters of Mehr-BB, focuses on promoting and producing theatrical shows. The strategic move allowed A.S.S. Concerts to broaden its network beyond its Hamburg headquarters and existing branch office in Berlin.
Böhlendorf, who joined the company in 2019 and assumed the leadership role from veteran executive Michael Bisping, collaborates with A.S.S. founder Dieter Schubert and director Dirk Gehrmann to guide the company’s operations and strategic initiatives.
