BERLIN (VIP-Booking) – Uber and Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) have unveiled a long-term collaboration, marking a significant milestone in Uber`s tenth anniversary in Germany.
As part of this, the two AEG venues in Berlin-Friedrichshain will become the Uber Arena and Uber Eats Music Hall from March 22, 2024. Uber follows Mercedes-Benz and Verti in terms of naming rights.
The two venues, which are among the largest event locations in Berlin, as well as the adjacent restaurants, cinema, and bowling alley, will in future be located at Uber Platz, which has almost eight million visitors every year.
At Uber, 2024 is all about the company`s tenth anniversary in Germany. In addition to the partnership with AEG, the company is planning numerous other campaigns in the anniversary year. Among other things, Uber is once again the main partner of the Berlinale and the Federal Press Ball this year.
With the Uber Arena, the Uber Eats Music Hall, and the Uber Platz, the company has set itself the goal of offering visitors an even better and unique event experience on all levels.
In close cooperation with AEG, the aim is to make arrival and departure even easier and more convenient.
“For our tenth birthday in Germany, we are giving ourselves and all Uber users a special gift. “We are transferring the unique, simple, and convenient user experience of the Uber app to two of the most famous event locations in Germany,” says Christoph Weigler, head of Uber in Germany. “In addition, this partnership underlines our deep connection to Berlin and the city’s art, culture, and sports scene”
“With Uber, we have gained a strong and flexible partner for whom the customer journey is the focus and with whom we will further increase the quality of the visitor experience in our venues. The integrated partnership for the arena, music hall, and square opens up new opportunities for this, says Heinz Anders, Vice President of AEG Global Partnership Germany. “At the same time, we are also pleased that Mercedes-Benz will continue to be our official partner and would like to thank our previous partner, Verti Versicherungen, with whom we launched the Music Hall a good five years ago.”
