THERMAL, California (CelebrityAccess) — Ladera Golf Club, a private golf course owned by the noted music manager and entertainment impresario Irving Azoff and Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of services, has been named as Golf Digest Best New Private Course for 2023.
The course, which was designed by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner of Hanse Golf Course Design, breaks the mold set by many desert golf courses, eschewing artificial water features, palm tree-lined fairways, and housing constraints.
Spanning 300 acres, the course slopes 140 feet from its highest point near the Santa Rosa Mountains with fairways that range from 60 to 100 yards with no formal rough, instead providing a challenge for golfers through strategic elements.
