LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Irish singer and recording artist Sinéad O’Connor died of natural causes.
O’Connor was found unresponsive at her home in South London on July 26th with police at the time stating that they did not consider her death to be suspicious.
On Tuesday, the Southwark Coroner’s Court confirmed that her death did not appear to be suspicious, reporting that she died of natural causes and ending their inquiry.
“The coroner has therefore ceased their involvement in her death,” the statement from Southwark Coroner’s Court to the BBC said.
O’Connor, known for her powerful voice, released ten albums over the course of her career, including her signature international breakthrough hit single “Nothing Compares 2 U” which debuted in 1990.
Her death follows the suicide death of her 17-year-old son Shane in 2022.
