Stapleton, from Lexington, KY, became more closely acquainted with Buffalo Trace Distillery when he recorded his Traveller album and was introduced to the distillery’s E.H. Taylor whiskey.
The partnership between Stapleton and Buffalo Trace Distillery is a perfect blend of artistry and craftsmanship. Stapleton worked closely with Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley to create a unique, high-quality blend. Over 50 blends were tested before Blend No. 40 was selected as the final product. Bottled at 90 proof, Traveller whiskey boasts complex aromas of vanilla, aged fruit, and buttery shortbread with a robust finish.
Apart from his musical pursuits, Stapleton has also been actively involved with the distillery through his and his wife’s charitable fund, Outlaw State of Kind. Their collaborative whiskey is set to carry their shared history and passion to whiskey enthusiasts worldwide. With its unique touch, Stapleton’s personal connection to the distillery makes this collaboration even more special. The whiskey, priced at $39.99, was released to retailers and restaurants nationwide on January 1, 2024, promising a unique experience to whiskey enthusiasts.
