LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Comedian and former Tonight Show host Jay Leno was reportedly hospitalized in Los Angeles after suffering in a gasoline fire.
According to TMZ, the former Tonight Show host was working on a car in his garage when gasoline fumes ignited.
He is being treated for injuries at the at a medica facility in Los Angeles, according to a report by TMZ.
In a statement provided to TMZ, Leno said he suffered “serious burns” in the fire but stated that he is on the mend. ” I am ok. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet,” he told Variety.
Leno was scheduled to appear at a financial conference in Las Vegas on Sunday but was forced to cancel the event due to his injuries telling organizers he had suffered a “serious medical emergency.”
