NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — The Weeknd and Roddy Ricch topped the nominations for the 2020 American Music Awards, earning aight nominations each.
The pair both received nominations for artist of the year, and favorite pop/rock song. The Weeknd earned a nom for music video of the year while Ricch was picked for new artist of the year.
Megan Thee Stallion followed on their heels, earning five nominations for 2020. Megan earned nods for new artist of the year, collaboration of the year (with Cardi B), and favorite female artist.
The nominations were announced on Good Morning America by Dua Lipa, who was nominated for favorite female artist in the pop/rock category and favorite pop/rock song category
The 2020 American Music Awards will air Sunday, Nov. 22 from 8 to 11 p.m. ET on ABC.
