NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Singer-songwriter and musician Jack White stepped in at the last minute as the musical guest on this week’s Saturday Night Live and used the opportunity to pay tribute to the recently late guitar legend Eddie Van Halen.
For the performance, which took place live at SNL’s Manhattan studios, White played a baby blue guitar that was designed expressly for Jack by none other than Eddie Van Halen.
For his two appearances, White performed a medley of “Ball and Biscuit,” “Don’t Hurt Yourself” and “Jesus Is Coming Soon,” followed by “Lazaretto” when he returned to the stage later in the broadcast.
White stepped in for rising country artist Morgan Wallen, who was dropped from the broadcast earlier in the week after pictures showing him partying at a crowded bar last Saturday surfaced on social media.
