NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Musician Jack White has signed on to perform on this week’s Saturday Night Live after the scheduled musical guest, country music artist Morgan Wallen, ran afoul of the late night show’s COVID-19 protocols.
Wallen was dropped from his appearance on SNL when a video surfaced on TikTok of Wallen dancing in a crowded bar in Tuscaloosa, Ala. with a mask last Saturday.
Wallen revealed that he’d been dropped in a seemingly emotional video posted to Instagram where he copped to his error and apologized to SNL, to his fans, and his team for his error in judgement.
“I got a call from the show letting me know I will no longer be able to play,” Wallen said in the Instagram video. “I respect the show’s decision, because I know that I put them in jeopardy, and I take ownership for this.”
Wallen, who is signed to Big Loud Records, debuted on the televised talent competition “The Voice” in 2014 and has since scored hits with singles such as “Whiskey Glasses” and “7 Summers.”
