CONCORD, NH (CelebrityAccess) — While the federal government continues to sit in pre-election stalemate, New Hampshire has stepped up and announced a plan to provide much needed financial supports for the state’s embattled live music sector.
On Monday, State officials announced a plan to dedicate $12 million of the state’s federal virus relief aid to support facilities that host live theatrical presentations, music, sporting or racing events.
Called the “Live Venue Relief Program” the initiative supports venues facing revenue loss if their primary business is hosting live theatrical presentations, musical entertainment, and/or sporting or racing events that are seated, ticketed, and open to the public.
The program is open to both for-profit and nonprofit facilities meeting these criteria.
Applications for the program are now being accepted here and the deadline to submit a completed application is Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
The program funding will be shared among eligible live performance venues using a pro-rata formula based on revenue losses, adjusted for other COVID-19 relief funds received from state and federal sources. The program will provide recipients up to $1.5 million.
