NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — In response to what it describes as “overwhelming demand” the Madison Square Garden Company announced that Josh Groban’s forthcoming residency at New York’s Radio City Music Hall has been expanded with the addition of a fourth show.
Groban’s performances will kick off on Valentine’s Day, February 14, with additional shows on April 18, and June 20th, and September 26, 2020.
The show will draw on the Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award-nominated performer’s career and feature special segments; guest stars and performers; and a concert performance featuring Groban. Each of the four announced performances will be a unique experience for Groban’s fans.
One dollar from every ticket sold goes to Groban’s Find Your Light Foundation, dedicated to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to experience a quality arts education.
Since first making a name for himself as a rehearsal singer with David Foster and stood as a stand-in for the legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli in the leadup for the 1999 Grammy Awards where he rehearsed Foster’s “The Prayer” with Céline Dion.
Groban parlayed his success into a career of his own, signing with Foster’s 143 Records.
Since then, he’s gone on to release eight studio albums, including his 2001 self-titled 5x-platinum debut, 2003’s 6x-platinum “Closer,” 2006’s double-platinum “Awake,” 2007’s 6x platinum Grammy-nominated “Noel,” 2010’s gold-certified “Illuminations,” 2013’s gold-certified “All That Echoes,” 2015’s gold-certified “Stages,” and most recently 2018’s “Bridges” with aggregate sales of more than 35 million albums worldwide.
