TAIPEI (CelebrityAccess) – Ruby Chou has been appointed as the new managing director of Warner Music Taiwan.
In her new role, effectively immediately, Chou will report to Simon Robson, president of Warner Music Asia.
Based in Taipei, Chou joins the label from Money101 Taiwan where she served as the company’s MD. During her time there she turned the financial services company into a household name in the country, helping to significantly grow its revenue and market share in the process.
She has also worked at Ogilvy & Mather, Grandviewer Technology, Vistagic Advertising, Apex Communications and Edelman PR & Digital.
Robson said: “Ruby brings a huge amount of brand marketing experience to our company and is well-positioned to help our artists cut through in the attention economy. She also has great leadership skills and is well-placed to guide our team in Taipei as it continues to develop.”
Chou added: “Getting to lead the incredible Warner Music Taiwan team is a huge honour for me. I’ve always been a storyteller, working with brands to connect them with consumers. Now I have the opportunity to bring those skills to bear to help our artists engage with fans. I can’t wait to get started.”
Warner Music Taiwan’s artist roster includes Barry Chen, Freya Lim, Jam Hsiao and his band Lion, Jess Lee, JJ Lin, Tiger Huang, Trash, Ty, Will Pan and Xiaoyu.
