(CelebrityAccess) — Controversial hip hop auter Kanye West has once again delayed the launch of his latest album, “Jesus is King.”

The album, which has delayed multiple times already, was slated to finally drop at 12:01 Am Friday on the same day as the release of a concert film of the same name.

While Kanye even tweeted a tease about the midnight release earlier in the day, nothing happened when midnight rolled around.

However, about 90 minutes after its planned debut, West took to Twitter to let his fans know the album had been delayed yet again.

The album, originally called “Yandhi”, appears to follow religious themes, with West describing it as “an expression of the gospel.”

West originally began recording the album in August 2018 after he reportedly stopped using medication to treat his bipolar disorder.

Since then, the album has missed multiple release dates, including in September 2018 when West appeared as the musical host on the season 44 premiere of Saturday Night Live, and then again in November 2018.

West has also begun teasing yet another new album, this one called ‘Jesus Is Born’ and scheduled for Christmas Day but few additional details have been shared about the alleged project.

According to Variety, fans who attended the Los Angeles screening of Kayne’s 30-minute concert film, which took place at The Forum, did get a preview of the music.

After the showing of the film, Kanye rose “seemingly out of nowhere” according to Variety and proceeded to play the album in its entirety from a laptop.

Update: On Friday afternoon, Kanye finally released the long-awaited album.
