(CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Eminem was reportedly interviewed by the United States Secret Service over lyrics from the track “Framed” on his most recent album Revival.
According to documents obtained by Buzzfeed, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers, was interviewed by the Secret Service in 2018, with the federal protective agency who said that Em was “exhibiting inappropriate behavior” and his lyrics “threatens protectee.”
In the song, Eminem doesn’t reference the president directly, but his daughter. The song, which is largely about evidentiary concerns in killing female celebrities, includes the lyric “But dog, how the fuck is Ivanka Trump in the trunk of my car?”
The documents obtained by Buzzfeed also reveal that the Secret Service was put in Em’s nefarious trail by a “concerned citizen” who turned out to be a reporter at celebrity news site TMZ, who notified investigators of the lyrics while seeking comment.
Backround in the documents also noted that Eminem has been a vocal opponent of President Trump, including excerpts from an interview with Vulture in which the rap icon said that Trump ” makes my blood boil.”
Two pages of documents summarizing the interview with Em and his legal team, which occurred on Jan. 16, 2018, were entirely redacted Buzzfeed reported.
Ultimately, the Secret Service decided not to refer the case to a federal prosecutor.
