(CelebrityAccess) — Streaming platform TIDAL announced that it has reconfigured its executive suite with the promotion of Tony Gervino to Executive Vice President and Editor-in-Chief and Elliott Wilson to Chief Content Officer.
In his new role, Gervino will oversee all editorial direction at TIDAL, including multi-genre playlist creation, as well as the streamer’s digital ‘magazine’ READ. As well, he will guide the editorial direction across the platform and its various localizations.
Gervino, who started with TIDAL in early 2017 as VP, Culture, and Content, previously served as editor-in-chief of Billboard and Slam Magazines, his writing has been featured in the New York Times, Rolling Stone and Business Week.
Elliott will be tasked with overseeing the creation of new and existing original content for TIDAL in addition to his current duties of hosting several TIDAL original content series’ and curator of some of the platform’s most popular playlists.
Elliott, who also joined TIDAL in 2017, formerly served as editor-in-chief of XXL and also did stints at publications such as Rap Radar and Ego Trip.
Both appointments are effective immediately and will report to Richard Sanders, CEO of TIDAL.
