DUSSELDORF, Germany (CelebrityAccess) — Dusseldorf-based venue operator D.LIVE announced that they have become the third founding member of venue consultancy and investment company Oak View Group’s newly-launched International Venue Alliance.

D.Live’s venues include the 54,000-capacity Merkur Spiel-Arena; 13,000-capacity ISS Dome; the 7,500-seat Mitsubishi Electric Halle; the 3,000-cap CASTELLO Dusseldorf; and the Dusseldorf open-air Alltours Cinema.

D.Live is the first member of the alliance outside of the UK, and the partnership follows similar deals with Silverstone, operators of the famed Silverstone Racetrack and Birmingham-based NEC Group.

The Alliance, which is modelled on OVG’s Arena and Stadium Alliance, is intended to deliver venue operators with increased booking clout and access to economies of scale available to international venue management groups.

“As a founding member of the alliance, we want to further expand our market position and make Düsseldorf even more visible internationally and nationally as an attractive location for live entertainment events. We will now be represented at the international locations London, New York and Los Angeles, which are decisive for the live entertainment market, and at one go multiply our strength and competence in the acquisition of sponsoring partners and events. As D.LIVE we offer the most diversified portfolio of live entertainment venues in Germany and we are very proud that with our Düsseldorf venues we are now part of the International Venue Alliance,” says Michael Brill, Managing Director D.LIVE.
