SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess) — Dead & Company, the Grateful Dead revival that features John Mayer, expanded its upcoming ‘Fun Run’ tour with a series of West Coast shows.
The newly-added shows, which include December 30th and New Year’s Eve, will take place at the new 18,064-seat Chase Center in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood.
Other additions to the band’s itinerary include two shows at The Forum in Los Angeles on Dec. 27 & Dec. 28th.
All six band members of the group, including former Grateful Dead alumni Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir along with John Mayer, Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge and Fare Thee Well and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti will take the stage both nights.
Dead & Company was formed in 2015 in the wake of a series of farewell shows by the remaining Grateful Dead and the revival has gone on to become one of the most successful touring bands of the decade. Since its formation, Dead & Company has completed six tours, playing to more than 2 million fans, and has become a record-breaking stadium act.
Having toured consistently since its 2015 debut, the band has grossed $205.5 million and sold 2.18 million tickets across 120 reported shows.
