NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Daniel Hernandez, better known as the rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine told a packed courtroom on Thursday that he’s not the only hip-hop star affiliated with the street gang Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

According to the New York Times, Hernandez identified one of the voices in phone recordings played in the courtroom as belonging to rapper Jim Jones, who Hernandez alleged was also a member of the group.

Jones, a Harlem-based rapper who released an album in June, has not previously been linked to the case, the Times reported.

Hernandez told the court that criminal gangs have a close connection with the hip-hop industry, and claimed that other rappers, including Trippie Redd, Chief Keef and Casanova have gang affiliations, the Times reported.

Federal prosecutors allege that the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods are engaged in drug trafficking and are responsible for a string of violent crimes throughout the city.

Hernandez was arrested last year as part of a sweeping weapons and racketeering case brought against the gang by federal prosecutors and has since agreed to testify against his alleged former associates.
