(CelebrityAccess) — Rapper and hip-hop entrepreneur Nicki Minaj appears to have briefly retired from music on Thursday.
In a now-deleted post to her Twitter account on Thursday, Minaj wrote:
“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, ❌ in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. ✅ Love you for LIFE.”
Since then, the Megatron singer has seemed to walk back her retirement plans, deleting the original post and apologizing for the dismay it may have caused her fans.
However, she didn’t exactly say she was not retiring either.
I’m still right here. Still madly in love with you guys & you know that. In hindsight, this should’ve been a Queen Radio discussion & it will be. I promise u guys will be happy. No guests, just us talking about everything. The tweet was abrupt & insensitive, I apologize babe ♥️🙏 https://t.co/eS0oHipwtg

Retired or not, Minaj still likely has a significant collection of unreleased music and has reportedly been in the studio working on her fifth studio album.
In June, after releasing the single for Megatron, she told Jimmy Fallon: “There’s definitely a new album, yes, of course,” she told the late-night host. “I’m not putting out the date yet, but there is one.”
