(CelebrityAccess) – Tony Bennett, the legendary honey-voiced crooner has canceled several upcoming performances due to an “unexpected illness” according to statements from the venues.

Bennett, who is 92, was scheduled to perform at the Paramount Theater in Seattle on Sept. 7th and the Fox Theatre in Oakland on Sept. 10th but both shows have now been canceled.

“Tony Bennett’s concert in Seattle will not be taking place on Saturday, September 7th, as the 19-time Grammy winner has contracted a summer virus and has been advised that he should not travel for the next week to allow for his recovery,” a statement from the Seattle Theatre Group.

“On behalf of Tony Bennett, we want to thank his fans for all of their support and apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause,” the statement added.

Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase with no apparent plans to attempt to reschedule the affected dates.

At present, Bennett is scheduled to return to the stage on Sept 14th at the San Diego Civic Center, with shows scheduled through December when he performs at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida.
