NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jordan Pruitt, who appeared on the third season of NBC’s “The Voice” has filed a lawsuit against her former manager Keith Thomas, accusing him of sexually abuse, starting when she was 14.
According to Variety, Pruitt also sued her former label “Hollywood Records” and its parent corporation The Walt Disney Company, claiming they should have known Thomas was a sexual abuser but failed to prevent the alleged abuse.
The lawsuit was first filed on Aug. 14th using pseudonyms, but Pruitt, who retired from the music industry in 2017, revealed via social media that she was the ‘Jane Doe’ from the legal filings.

In the suit, Pruitt claims that Thomas began to sexually abuse her for two years, starting when she was fourteen, including one occasion when she was allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted. She claims the abuse occurred in hotels and parked cars, but also at high profile locations such as the AEG-owned Staples Center and on soundstages at the Warner Bros. lot, Variety reported.
“At fifteen this person had brainwashed me into thinking that the things that were happening were ‘natural’ and ‘okay,’” she wrote. “While I will spare you any of the mind-piercing details, I can honestly and unfortunately say that this man sexually abused me for almost two years of my life. I am a victim of child molestation because of him.”
Late last year, Pruitt disclosed on social media that she had been molested but at the time did not name her alleged abuser.
Thomas, a well-known Nashville producer who served as country music legend Ronnie Milsap’s first staff writer, also scored hits with Amy Grant’s “Baby Baby” and Vanessa Williams’ album “”Save the Best for Last” which earned Grammy noms for Producer of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year.
More recently, Thomas has focused on developing the careers of young female artists, including a stint as producer of “Chasing Nashville” a reality television series focused on young women pursuing a career in the country music industry.
Both Thomas and his attorney declined to provide a statement on the allegations to Variety.
