BRAZIL (CelebrityAccess) – Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has inked a deal with Brazilian executive and creator Konrad Dantas and his company, Kondzilla.
First launched in 2012, as a YouTube channel, Kondzilla is known for bringing Brazilian funk music into the mainstream. With more than 50.6 million subscribers and more than 25 billion views across 1,100 videos, it is the most popular YouTube channel in Brazil and is in the Top 10 in the world.
The company’s business arms have since grown to include music video production, label and publishing, licensing and a lifestyle content website.
Meanwhile, Kondzilla’s musical catalog spans nearly 600 titles from more than 50 artists including songs such as “O Grave Bater,” “Encaixa” and “Rabiola” by MC Kevinho, “Oh Quem Voltou” by Dani Russo, “Pega A Receita” by MC Dede & MC Kevinho, “Solteiro Até Morrer” by MC Kekel, and “Abusadamente” by MC Gusta & MC DG.
