CALIFORNIA (CelebrityAccess) – Noel Gallagher has responded to the Foo Fighters’ call for a petition to get Oasis back together by saying he wants to start a petition to get the American rock band to break up.

During a gig in Chula Vista, California, Wednesday night, Gallagher asked the crowd: “Any Oasis fans in the house? Is anyone going to sign the petition Dave Grohl wants to [start] for us to get back together? I’d like to start a petition to get the Foo Fighters to split up.”

The Brit rocker was reacting to comments made last week by Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins during the band’s show at the Reading Festival. The drummer decorated his kit for the occasion with a photo of Noel and his estranged brother Liam Gallagher. After Hawkins pointed out the photo, he told the crowd “One of these days, we’ll get Oasis back. One of these days. Let’s sign a petition, everyone here.”

Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher tweeted an idea for an Oasis musical where he refers to his brother as “a massive cunt.”

So, as was to be expected, both of the Gallagher brothers remain uninterested.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will release their third EP of 2019, This Is The Place, in September, while Liam will release his second solo album Why Me? Why Not., that same month.

Oasis broke up in 2009.
