BASEL, Switzerland (CelebrityAccess) — Swiss music festival the Baloise Session announced it has secured continuing sponsorship from its primary presenting partner, insurance group Basler Versicherungen, for the next five years.
In a post to their social media on Monday, festival organizers said: “Two days before the announcement of the Baloise Session 2019 program, we are popping champagne corks: Basler Versicherungen & Baloise Bank SoBa – Switzerland remain will remain our presenting sponsor for another five years. This will secure the future of our music festival until 2025. A valuable commitment, which gives us the freedom to continue the 34-year-old festival history in the most beautiful tones and bring you, dear audience, unforgettable concert experiences in Basel.”
“The Baloise Session is unique and brings fresh delights year after year,” Basler Versicherungen chief executive Michael Müller said in a statement. “We are proud to be presenting sponsor for the seventh time and to contribute to musical diversity in Switzerland through our engagement.”
The festival, which takes place in the second half of October at Basel’s Event Halle, has yet to announce a lineup for 2019, but in 2018, the sold-out fest featured performances from Georga Ezra, Ben Harpe & The Innocent Criminals, Buddy Guy, Lauryn Hill, and John Legend.
