MIAMI (CelebrityAccess) — Following a year in exile at Florida’s Virginia Key, organizers for the Ultra Music Festival Miami announced that the event will return to its former home at the city’s Bayfront Park in 2020.

However, it will return a week earlier than had been previously announced. The 2020 edition of the festival will now take place from March 20-22, a little earlier than the previously announced dates of March 27 – 29.

While the festival was staged at Bayfront Park for years, it was evicted from its longtime home after the city did not renew the festival’s lease following the 2018 edition of the event following complaints about noise and congestion.

Organizers did not provide an explanation for the date change, but according to the Miami New Times, the return to Bayfront comes with some stipulations to address the concerns of local residents. Under its newly revised license, the festival will reduce its sound from a max of 110 to 102 decibels, and will reduce it’s capacity to 55,000 fans a day.

The terms of the agreement will also see the festival eliminate one of its stages for 2020.

Festival organizers are also willing to take steps to address a disputed $475,000 that the city claims the festival owes.

The money Maimi claims the festival owes includes the cost of equipment purchased by the city, including new body armor and ATVs that were not included in the original contract.

Ultra compromised and is willing to pay $154,000 within ten days of signing a new contract, and another $154,000 within ten days following the conclusion of the festival next year, the New Times reported.
