(CelebrityAccess) — Disney’s “The Lion King” continued its reign at the box office for a second week, earning $75.524 million from North American theaters.

Combined with “Lion King’s” international haul of $142.8 million from 53 territories, the film banked a massive $218.3M in its second week. To date, “Lion King” has earned $962.7M worldwide.

Quentin Tarantino’s 9th film, “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” proved to be the biggest opening in the eclectic director’s career, earning $40.35 million in North America. The weekend’s results put “Hollywood” slightly ahead of the debut of his 2009 film “Inglorious Basterds” which earned $39m in its opening weekend.

“Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” tells the story of aspiring actors set against the sprawling backdrop of 1969 Hollywood, with a cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt.

Sony’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home” continued to track at the box office, earning an additional $12.2 million from North American cinemas, bringing its domestic cume to through Sunday to $344.455 million. Globally, “Spider-Man” pushed passed the billion mark this weekend for its worldwide cume.
