LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Kelly Clarkson took to Twitter over the weekend to offer Taylor Swift some advice following her very public spat with Scooter Braun whose company Ithica Holdings recently acquired Big Machine Label Group and now owns most of Swift’s masters.
Clarkson enouraged Swift to re-record her old material so that fans might be enticed to purchase the new versions instead.
“U should go in & re-record all the songs that U don’t own the masters on,” she tweeted. Clarkson went on to suggest that Swift put a fresh spin on the material and that she add “brand new art & some kind of incentive so fans will no longer buy the old versions.” She added that she’d “buy all of the new versions just to prove a point” herself.

@taylorswift13 just a thought, U should go in & re-record all the songs that U don’t own the masters on exactly how U did them but put brand new art & some kind of incentive so fans will no longer buy the old versions. I’d buy all of the new versions just to prove a point 💁🏼♀️
