LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Now in its second week, Sony’s Spider-Man: Far From Home held on to the top spot at the weekend box office, raking in $45.3 million, bringing its cumulative total for the region to $274.529 million, according to estimates compiled by Comscore.
The film continued to perform internationally as well, with a cumulative $572.5M international gross, contributing to a worldwide cume of $847M worldwide.
Disney Pixar’s Toy Story 4 also continued its run, earning $20.665 million in its fourth weekend in North American theaters and $48.1 million in 45 international territories. Worldwide, the animated movie has accumulated an impressive
$771.1M to date.
Disney’s The Lion King debuted in China this week, opening to an estimated $54.7M, besting previous debuts of The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, according to Disney.
Lion King’s results in China bode well for the movie’s prospects when it opens in most other markets, including North America this week.
