COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CelebrityAccess) A concert in celebration of the Fourth of July in Colorado Springs, Colo., was cut short because of a massive rainstorm, which caused the cancellation of the headlining performance by Billy Ray Cyrus, and some of the audience members are upset that there will not be any refunds.
“We figured it would be delayed, postponed or something,” Jessica Leon told KKTV 11 News. “But you know, we didn’t figure it would just be canceled and nothing would happen.”
“I want a chance for her to live her dream,” David Leon said, speaking about his wife.”Or I want my money back at least.”
Jon Eddy of Jon Eddy Productions told 11 News in an email that refunds were unavailable because much of the July 5 show occurred as planned and would be happy to talk to any frustrated fans.
“The event did, in fact happen.” Eddy wrote. “Three of the four bands played their full sets (nearly four hours of live music) and the fireworks were shot. All catering was delivered and every element was executed aside Billy Ray’s performance.”
He added that the show was a “nightmare” and he had lost thousands of dollars on the deal. However, he is offering free tickets to frustrated patrons to three upcoming shows: Jerrod Niemann, Casey Donahew or Eric Paslay, all at the city’s Whiskey Baron.
