NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) The nationally syndicated TV series “The Song,” a brainchild of music industry veteran Marc Oswald, is set to premiere January 4, 2020.

The series is expected to cover the stories behind some of the biggest songs in rock, pop, country, hip-hop and other genres. Oswald, whose 40 years in the business includes music management, and tour and concert promotion, has also produced television, video and film projects including the Dale Earnhardt Tribute Special and  Elvis Aaron Presley-The Tribute, both on FOX, Big & Rich’s documentary “8th of November: A True Story of Pain & Honor,” and the MTV television series “Music in High Places starring artists such as Alanis Morissette, Brian McKnight, and Boys II Men.

“The Song,” hosted by Krista Marie and Damien Horne, will be filmed at TGL Farms, about 15 miles from Nashville in Hendersonville, Tenn. It will include conversations with various artists who will then take the stage at the TGL Farms stable for intimate concerts with about 75 in attendance.

Season one will have nine 30-minute episodes plus a one-hour 90 special.

“At the heart of Nashville is our songwriter community,” said Butch Spyridon, President and CEO, Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. “To showcase the songs and songwriters, alongside the artists, is like a peek under the hood of the music that drives our lives—and Nashville gets to be the car.”
