SWEDEN (CelebrityAccess) A$AP Rocky, who has been incarcerated in Sweden after a June 30 altercation on the streets of Stockholm, will be missing more festival appearances in Europe.
The rapper has already had to cancel dates following his performance at Stockholm’s Splash festival but appears to be unavailable for the next two to four weeks, according to a statement from manager John Ehmann.
According to video, A$AP’s entourage was followed by two men. His bodyguard repeatedly tells them to go away and the rapper attempts to defuse the situation but to no avail, with the confrontations finally escalating to a street fight.
“On Monday, we filed an appeal with the Swedish Supreme Court to have Rocky released from the inhumane conditions and the clear violation of human rights,” Ehmann said on Instagram. “They rejected the filing, which means Rocky will remain in prison for two weeks. The prosecutor on the case has further communicated that he is working to receive an additional two-week extension for a trial to begin in mid – to end of August.”
Festival appearances that could be affected include Kadetten Festival in Norway, Open’er Festival in Poland, Longitude Festival in Ireland and Wireless Festival in London.
Meanwhile, the #JusiceForRocky post has been shared by artists like Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Kris Jenner, Post Malone and Tyler, The Creator.
