DODGE CITY, Kansas (CelebrityAccess) — The City of Dodge City and Ford County have approved an extension of their contract with VenuWorks for the management of the United Wireless Arena and Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center.
The United Wireless Arena, which first opened its doors in 2011, is a multipurpose entertainment and sports complex with 4,000 permanent seats, while the adjacent conference center includes 6,800 square feet of space, on-site catering, audio, visual, IT, and conference services.
Both facilities have been managed by VenuWorks since 2010 before their official opening. The arena has hosted performances by major touring artists such as Miranda Lambert, Jeff Dunham, Ron White, and Alan Jackson as well as family shows such as Disney Live and the Harlem Globetrotters.
“We are very excited that the City of Dodge City, Ford County, and VenuWorks were able to reach an agreement regarding the renewal of VenuWorks’ operating agreement for the United Wireless Arena and Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center,” said Cherise Tieben, City Manager of Dodge City. “VenuWorks has done an incredible job of operating the facilities and bringing in a tremendous lineup of events. Additionally, they understand the value of the conference and event center business to our community. We are excited to continue this relationship.
