TORONTO (CelebrityAccess) — Canadian Music Week announced that Danya Dixon has been promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer of the organization, effective immediately.
Dixon has been part of the CMW team for more than a decade, serving most recently as CMW’s Vice President of Programming.
A recognized figure in the world of Canadian music promotion, Dixon founded and led the successful O’Cannabiz Conference & Expo in Toronto in 2016 and has since helped to expand the event into Vancouver and Niagara Falls.
As well, she served as Vice President of Programming for the Digital Media Summit, a social media-focused marketing, and branding conference.
Now in its 38th year, Canadian Music Week will return to downtown Toronto in 202w from May 19 – 23, 2020. The week-long event features a trade show, an industry-focused conference, and an awards show, as well as hundreds of band showcases as part of one of Canada’s largest music festivals.
All conference functions take place at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, 123 Queen Street West in Toronto.
