TORONTO (CelebrityAccess) – Drake has announced the return of his popular OVO Fest.
The God’s Plan rapper took to the stage at Toronto’s Nathan Phillips Square on Monday during a historic parade in honor of the Toronto Raptors’ first-ever NBA Championship, to address the victory and invite both the team and the crowd to join him when the festival makes its comeback later this summer.
“You deserve this,” he told the crowd collectively. “These moments are few and far between. We are the NBA 2019 champions of the world! I hope that all these guys will join me this year,” he added pointing to the team, “because we’re bringing OVO Fest back so I hope we can go crazy.”
While no details or additional information regarding the festival have been released as of yet, OVO Fest typically coincides with Toronto’s annual Caribana festival, which is held on the Civic Holiday weekend.
An estimated two million Raptors fans attended the parade.
Drake released and dedicated two brand-new songs, “Omerta” and “Money in the Grave,” to the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.
