(CelebrityAccess) — Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. is facing fresh allegations of sexual misconduct in less than two weeks.
According to Yahoo! News, blogger and podcaster Claudia Oshry alleged on her podcast “The Morning Toast” that Gooding engaged in a non-consensual sexual act with Oshry when she was 16.
Oshry claimed that Gooding inserted his finger into her anus at a dance club without her consent while the two were at a dance club. She says that she didn’t raise the issue with authorities at the time due in part to concerns about being in the club as a minor.
“At the end of the day, like, I don’t know if I’ve ever considered myself to be, like, a victim of sexual assault because I’m not,” Oshry said on the podcast. “There are people who are real victims that I would never compare myself to them.”
Oshry also claimed she’s been sharing the story for the last two years and that other people have reported similar experiences to her.
“At the end of the day, when I tell people this at my meet-and-greets and just anyone who’s ever come to my show, there’s, like, at least once every show, someone who comes up to me, they’re like, ‘Oh my God! Me and my friends were at a club and the same thing happened to me’ or ‘the same thing happened to my friend,’” Oshry said on her podcast.
Gooding’s attorney disputed Oshry’s allegation and said his client has never exhibited such behavior, Yahoo! Reported.
On Thursday, Gooding turned himself in to police in New York after he was alleged to have inappropriately touched a woman at a bar in Manhattan on June 9th. Gooding Jr. has maintained his innocence and his attorney told TMZ that a video of the incident will exonerate his client.
