BERLIN (CelebrityAccess) — Deutsche Entertainment Aktiengesellschaft GmbH (DEAG) announced it has acquired a controlling interest in live event promoter C² Concerts.
Founded in 2010 by Christian Doll and Christian Ludewig, the Baden-Württemberg-based C² Concerts, has a diverse portfolio of rock/pop, family entertainment, jazz and performing arts events to its credit.
In 2018 alone, C² Concerts staged more than 200 events and sold approximately 400,000 tickets, realizing sales of more than 7 million euros.
C² Concerts events include the family-oriented Christmas Garden in Stuttgart, which was held for the first time in 2018 and attracted more than 125,000 visitors. The concept will be expanded in 2020 with a second event planned for a yet-to-be-announced location in Southwest Germany.
DEAG said it expects that C² Concerts will only be bolstered by the addition of DEAG’s resources, and the integration of the company’s myticket platform.
“The future even closer cooperation with C² CONCERTS gives us the opportunity to continue to grow profitably along the extended value chain, thus completing regional coverage in our core market of Germany and next to Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Frankfurt am Main are now also represented in Southwest Germany, and we also see significant synergy potential in the live entertainment and ticketing business,” Prof. Peter Schwenkow, CEO of DEAG said.
“We are delighted to be working with DEAG to intensify our cooperation with a first-class partner in the live entertainment business, which will benefit both sides,” C² Concerts Christian Doll added.
