LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Facebook, with the help of Eventbrite, has rolled out a ticketing service via its widely used event coordination service.
“Ticketing on Facebook” was announced May 16, with Eventbrite and Facebook taking a large fee off of tickets sold.
It’s been noted that ticketing is still just an option on the service; if one wants to have a house party without selling tickets, one can still use the service.
The news comes at a good time for Eventbrite, which has seen its stock fade since its IPO launch and is facing a class action lawsuit from investors, with at least one attorney firm claiming that it promised more than it could deliver since going public. The stock has seen a 52-week high of $40.25 and closed on Friday at $17.51.
