(CelebrityAccess) — Festival producer Michael Lang suspects the Woodstock 50 computer network was hacked by a media outlet.
According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, Lang and other members of the festival team became suspicious amid intense media scrutiny as the Woodstock 50 festival appeared to come off the rails this week.
Lang told the Journal in an interview on Wednesday that his suspicion was based on information that he believes could only have originated with a festival insider, which came up during a conversation with a media outlet this week.
“That would be the only reason I can think of, it’s news people who are trolling and someone went off the deep end,” Lang told the Journal.
Lang declined to identify what the information that prompted his concern was, or which media outlet he suspected.
“It’s just bizarre,” Lang added. Lang told the Journal that the festival has retained a security consultant to investigate the incident.
