TEL AVIV (CelebrityAccess) – Israel today (May 3) announced that it has uncovered a network of bots and fake Twitter accounts urging a boycott of the upcoming Israeli-hosted Eurovision song contest, according to The Associated Press.
Twitter has reportedly confirmed to AP that it has suspended “a small network of accounts” in response to the Israeli complaint.
Israel’s Ministry of Strategic Affairs is reportedly blaming the BDS movement––which calls for various boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israeli occupation––for the campaign.
Israel is hosting the contest after Israeli singer Netta Barzilai won last year.
